The crypto industry claimed high-profile scalps in races in which it had invested most heavily: In Ohio, incumbent Democratic senator Sherrod Brown, depicted as an archvillain in crypto circles, was unseated by Republican Bernie Moreno. Another expected headline in the top crypto news this week is Jupiter Exchange’s product announcements. In a post last week, the Solana-based DEX teased a major product announcement by a Jupiter executive.

“Next week, the Senate will make history when we pass the GENIUS Act that establishes the first-ever pro-growth regulatory framework for payment stablecoins. Another Trump-family linked crypto venture called World Liberty Financial recently announced that it was issuing its own stablecoin, called USD1. “The bipartisan GENIUS Act will provide regulatory clarity to this important industry, keep innovation on shore, add robust consumer protection, and reaffirm the dominance of the U.S. dollar,” Gillibrand continued.
