The support that you need

During Pregnancy

Pregnancy is a time full of changes.
Whether you are enjoying every minute,
struggling with health issues, or anywhere in
between, we’re here to support you through.

Chiropractic is a powerful and effective way to care for your body naturally throughout all the weekly changes.

No matter what your birth plan is, you and your baby can surely benefit from regular chiropractic care and you will love the balance and relaxation than comes with a healthy spine and nervous system. Your muscles, organs (including your uterus and cervix), and every cell in the body is connected to your brain through your nerves. Guess what protects your nerves? That’s right, your spine! And your spine changes a TON during the course of 40 weeks!

No matter if you are trying to get pregnant, you just peed on a stick, or you’re about to pop, chiropractic care is great at any stage throughout the process. We always say, the sooner the better, but it’s never too late!

6 Benefits of Chiropractic

Mobility

Your spine provides the foundation of all your movement patterns. Fully functioning joints allows for deeper more intentional movement and increased flexibility for all ages.

Brain

Your spine protects your nervous system and allows communication from all your organs back to your brain. Misalignments hinder the communication pathways, so chiropractic adjustments restore proper neurological function.

Pain

Who can be happy when in pain? Getting your body out of pain and thriving is just one more step to happiness. Chiropractic care not only gets you feeling better but it gets you functioning better and back to your life!

Breastfeeding

Breastfeeding isn’t always easy. Very often latch issues can be from tightness in the cranial bones, neck and mouth, all of which we assess gently and effectively to help make breastfeeding easier for you both.

Immune

Did you know that your immune system and your nervous system are related? And your digestive system is controlled by your nerves? Chiropractic adjustments boost the immune system and regulate the digestive system.

Pregnancy

Your hips, spine and pelvis go through immense changes over the 40-ish weeks of your pregnancy. The chiropractic adjustment to the pelvis releases tension to the ligaments and uterus so the baby can move freely and assume the best possible position for birth.

Experience and
Certification

Your pregnancy is a sacred time and we hold a deep respect for the miracle happening within you.

All of our doctors are trained and certified in Webster Perinatal care and Advanced Perinatal care by the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association. This technique is a specific chiropractic analysis of the sacrum, pelvis and spine, with various adjustments, soft tissue releases and corrective techniques. According to the ICPA “The goal of the adjustment is to reduce the effects of sacral subluxation/ SI joint dysfunction. In doing so, neuro-biomechanical function in the pelvis is facilitated.”

Subluxations (misalignments and nerve dysfunction) of the sacrum, pelvis and spine may contribute to difficult labor for the birthing person. The uterus, pelvic muscles and position of the baby are all related to the function of the nervous system. Correction of spinal subluxations allow for increased nerve function which enhances function of the muscles and organs involved in pregnancy and birth.
